Ethical Decision Reflection
When I first started working with the youth population, I was engage by a friend. What I discover later afterwards about three months of working at this business I found out that this person was having a relationship with cardinal of the older client. I had to consider rather I treasured to keep my job are this friendship or religious service this youth, what I was hired to do. I needed the job and I still wanted this person to be my friend I knew I could not have both.
The values I was face with were honesty, integrity, being loyal, or turning my head. Integrity is what led me in making the right decision for the youth, my friend and I was wedged by my decision. I wooly-minded a friend moreover I earned respect from my employer and some of the other employees. I was the new employee and I was looked at as a liquidate and trader I did not care.
The outcome was my friend lost her job the other employees made it very hard for me and the clients gave me a hard time. My boss send the youth to another spatial relation after and eventually some of the employees stop treating me like I was the one that did something wrong.
My boss also had a workshop on ethics, value, and doing the right thing for these youth we are hired to shelter and help. I would do it all over again if I had too.
