Popular sovereignty says that the community create their political relation, and that political power[->0] comes from the people. However, in reality, political leading over use their power because they turn over themselves as being part of the people, instead of servants of the people. The people fuddle clean who they want to be in the government. This keeps the government from becoming excessively powerful. Separation of powers is to give equal rights to each of the 3 branches of government. from each one one checks the former(a) in everything they do. All of the branches have authorized rights of what and what not they can do. This keeps the powers from becoming too powerful also. It helps us not become and anarchy. Basically, if one branch makes a constabulary, thus the other branches have the power to either uphold that law or veto it. This basically says that neither branch can gain and keep more power over the other branches. All the branches stay equal.
Federalism is a system of government in which power[->1] is not shared, but it is divided between the central, or federal, government and the states.



This also keeps our government from becoming too powerful. We choose leaders in our state and also in our country. They work together to make certain laws and decide on certain things. This keeps the people happy because the majority of a state could not corresponding a national law and then the state could diverseness that law within the state. The federal government is still a part in making sure things dont get out of hand within a state. This keeps things fit between states and national government.
