The Case of the Haunted Gainsborough was strikingly similar to the previous films we lay down witnessed. It was compelling, smart, interesting, along with its humor and twists do it advanced for its time. The characters Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Mr. McGregor, and Heather each contend an important role in the movie that made it relevant yet devastatingly witty. At first it convinces the audience that through a watchful eye and common sense anyone could crack a case and prove it with evidence. However, it ends with an ambiguous note; that not e verything may seem as they appear.
It starts off as Mr. McGregor asks Sherlock Holmes and his lad Dr. Watson to investigate the haunting of his ancestral castle. The next scene is when the equal of investigators arrives at the McGregor castle and Holmes is ab knocked out(p) to remark of the ghosts picture when she suddenly appears. My response to this scene was that there would be a possible recursion between the windows and the candle light doused out when the ghost would always make an visual aspect.
The ghost h sr.ing the tho light source in the room is a symbol that she holds the secret to finding the familys fortune and to appease her. As Holmes chases after her they search outside the door where she left save to find no one is there.
The next scene was very odd because when the ghost busters went onto the balcony the ghost appeared and was flirting with Holmes. As she vanished they couldnt find any rational or sane answers to what they have just witnessed and time is of the essence. Holmes immediately puts his logical skills into action by devising a plan to catch the ghost as she would normally ascend the stairs to solve the mystery the old fashioned way.
