Throughout the years the grapheme of women has changed dramatically. It has gone from their rights to having a pickaxe of what you want to do with you animation to having a choice virtually abortion. But this wasnt as easy in the first years. M all women suffered because they were being treated as object and non a human with feelings. Men treated their woman as they pleased. A Dolls House by Henik Ibesen and A Rose For Emily by William Faulkners both show us the role of women and the sacrificial role of women. They both show us the differences amid social classes and the effects that it has to their surrounding. It also concerns about the position of women in society .Women had a right to develop their own individuality, except in veritableity, their role was often self-sacrifical. Women were non treated equal. Women could not conduct business or control their own money, for which they involve the authorization of the man who owned them - husband, brother or father.

In A Dolls House, Nora at first appears to be a silly, selfish girl, scarcely then we learn that she has made great sacrifices to save her husbands lifespan and pay back her secret loan.
When a woman loves as Nora does, nothing else matters. She will sacrifice herself for the family.



Her purpose in life is to be happy for her husband and children; to dance and to play. Torvald doesnt know what is real relationship means. And when he sees that because of Nora he needs to sacrifice his genius and his career, he gave up. He wouldnt take the blame for her. Torvald issues decrees and condescends to Nora, and Nora must continue her loan from him because she knows Torvald could never accept the idea that his wife (or any other woman) had servinged save his life. Only when he finds out that Nora wont be charged, he forgives her, and tries to keep her. But it is not going to help him because Nora realized that Torvald doesnt love her.
